The Future of Europe: Relations between the Enlarging European Union and Russia and the Ukraine

The Institute for World Economics, HAS in cooperation with Finnish experts (from Turku School of Economics and Business Administration) organised a scientific meeting on topical issues of the "The Future of Europe: Relations between the Enlarging European Union and Russia and Ukraine. In a fundamentally changed and still changing Europe, the scientific seminar focused on some of the key issues of the shaping the future of the continent with special regard to European integration, the consequences for Russia and Ukraine of enlargement to the "East", globalization and other related issues. The four sessions of the seminar covered the topics of politics, security issues, economics including the presence of Russian firms in the European space and issues of regional cooperation.

The seminar had expert-participants from Russia, Ukraine, the European Union and Hungary.

The volume of presented lectures has been under publication.
