• International trade, international monetary issues with particular focus on the EU and the transatlantic economic relations.

• Within the economics of European integration special expertise on monetary union, fiscal policy, trade policy issues, external economic relations, and Eastern enlargement of the EU (accession of the new member states, new neighbourhood policy).
